Kahoot is a Hoot!

Kahoot is a great way to have your students become engaged in the material that they are learning. All you need to do is go click here and create an account. Once you have created an account you can make your own quizzes depending on what subject and grade you are teaching. Once you have created a quiz, you can run the quiz on the projector screen through your computer. A pin number will be generated which you can give to your students.

 The students then need to go to an internet browser either on their phones or laptops/tablets, and then they can type into the search bar kahoot.it. Once all the students are in the program the quiz can begin. The students will have 20 seconds to answer each question. The question will appear on the projector and the students will get a series of coloured boxes to press. The quiz keeps track of each participant and how they are doing.

The website keeps a list of all the quizzes you make so that you can use them again another year! This is a great way to assess the student on their learning before a subject is introduced or after. We recommend this to anyone who loves to incorporate technology and games into their classroom.
